A couple of years ago I started working on a story about George Mallory, the English mountaineer who went missing in 1924. This was right around the time some researchers were raising funds for an expedition (with film crew) to try and recover the camera he'd lost on the mountain. Of course I never finished the story. And now it's time to say goodbye to my Mallory folder and just let this picture haunt me forever.
