I wrote the introduction to All Hands on Deck, a recipe collection to benefit the small businesses in Red Hook still suffering after the storm.
I'm so happy to have been a small part of this project, which was put together by a kick-ass team of volunteers -- writers, recipe testers, photographers, cooks, and designers, led by Zac and Cat Overman -- who collaborated on the 25 recipes and stories gathered from our local bars, restaurants, and food trucks. 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to ReStore Red Hook.
